New Zealand is not going to tour Pakistan

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is trying its best to revive cricket in the country. The T20 series against the World XI and the Pakistan Super League final match organized in Lahore, but the PCB does not think it is safe for Pakistan to play cricket, but the cricketing countries do not feel safe on their tour of Pakistan.

New Zealand cricket team is not going to tour Pakistan on security issues. In the United Arab Emirates next year, the New Zealand Cricket team is scheduled to play three Tests, three ODIs and three T20s against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

The PCB had offered New Zealand to host the T20 series in Pakistan. But the proposal has been rejected by the New Zealand Cricket Board.

New Zealand Cricket Board chairman Greg Barclay said that there was a great deal of discussion with Pakistan. Pakistanis are very good people. They used to be good with us in the past. But our Advisory Committee does not feel safe in Pakistan. That is why we can not accept their proposal. I hope the PCB understands and accepts it.

In 2003, the New Zealand Cricket team visited the last Pakistan tour. After that, the QIU did not play in Pakistan's ground.

It is to be noted that since the terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricketers carrying the Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore in 2009, no other team except the West Indies and Zimbabwe have agreed to play in Pakistan.

Last year, after playing two Tests, five ODIs and two Twenty20s in the United Arab Emirates, the Sri Lanka Cricket team visited Lahore for a day to play the last T20 match of the series.

After nearly a decade of Lahore attack, there was no international full series on Pakistan soil.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had offered Bangladesh and Afghanistan cricket team to return to cricket in the country. But they did not agree to visit the security question. Now the New Zealand Cricket Boardwalks in the same way.
