Trump's former adviser George Papadopoulos is in jail

US President Donald Trump's former election adviser George Papadopoulos was sentenced to a Washington DC court on Friday. He was given 14 days' imprisonment.

He was sentenced to FBI for giving false evidence against Russia's intervention in the US presidential election. He was convicted last October in connection with Donald Trump's election campaign with Russian officials, lying on several occasions during the meeting.

This former assistant of the first trump has been arrested for proving Russian intervention in the presidential election in 2016.

In yesterday's verdict, Papadopoulos will be kept under surveillance for 12 months. He has to give 200 hours of community service. At the same time, it will also count the fine of nine thousand US dollars.

During the trial, 31-year-old Papadopoulos told the court that he was a 'patriotic American'. He made a mistake by lying.

Papadopoulos told the court, 'His whole life has turned back and forth'. Hopefully, you have the second chance to get rid of yourself. He concluded by saying that 'this investigation has global impact and has the importance of truth'.

Before joining Trump's Advocacy camp in March 2016 as a foreign affairs adviser, Chicago-born Papadopoulos worked as an expert on petroleum in London. When he entered the camp, he soon met the mysterious Malta academy Joseph Miffsud.

The professor told him that "Democracy Party candidate Hillary Clinton has thousands of e-mails as evidence of 'dumbness' against Russia.

In May 2016, with the Australian ambassador to the UK, he told about the talk with Papadopoulos professor Mifsud in a picnic with the ambassador in the park. Two months after the e-mails were published, the ambassador told the US officials.

Other members of the National Security Group of Papadopoulos Trump and Promotions camp have proposed to hold meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin ahead of the November 2016 election.

The FBI interrogated Papadopoulos in January 2017. He claimed that he met separately with the two close friends of Russia, before joining the campaign camp. But the truth is that he met after joining the campaign camp.

One of these two women is there. Papadopoulos believed that the Russian government has a link with this woman.

Papadopoulos lawyer Thomas Brin, outside the court yesterday, said that his client has made a false statement as foolless to Boca and the FBI.

But Arty said that President Trump has done more crime than what Papadopoulos is doing to prevent the investigation. He tried to hinder this investigation by saying 'Witch Hunt' and 'false news'.
