The US Declares Closure of Palestinian Mission in Washington |
The United States has announced the closure of the Palestinian mission in Washington because the country is not willing to negotiate with the Israeli state.
On Monday, the country's foreign ministry said the Palestinians did not give directly to the United States or Israel to sit with them. They have rejected the US peace plan. Although it is not visible yet.
An Israeli Palestinian Liberation Movement official said that the United States wants to blackmail us on Israel's side blindly. He warned that tensions in the Middle East will increase.
US State Department spokesman Heather Nuwara said since November last year, Palestinian missions were allowed to open in Washington on special rights. They were given the opportunity to work together to establish a permanent integrated peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
He said, however, the PLO has not taken any action so far to take forward direct and meaningful discussions with Israel. In contrast, the PLO authorities have rejected the US peace plan, which they have not seen yet.
The latest initiative of US President Donald Trump to join Palestine in peace talks is to stop the mission. The US President has termed it as the final agreement.
The Palestinians complained the Trump administration is pursuing a one-pointed policy. This is another announcement of the Trump administration to punish the Palestinian people.
